Education for Ministry Program (EfM)
EfM is a four-year program (although participants only commit to one year at a time), offered by the University of the South, with a set curriculum. Unlike a college course, however, each group forms a cohesive unit where members are comfortable discussing and reflecting on issues in a safe and confidential environment. Each group is therefore unique, and discussions in one group may be nothing like discussions in another group. For this reason, new members only join once a year for 36 weeks, (we mostly follow the school year), and the first few weeks include exercises and sharing to help us get to know and build trust with each other.

Each EfM member commits to doing the readings for whichever year they are in — which cover Old Testament for first year, New Testament for second year, Church History for third year, and Theology for fourth year.
