A Place to belong — Whoever you are — Just as you are

Newly Elected/Re-Elected Vestry Members - Election June 21, 2009

Deb LaCross
I have been a member of St. Paul's Church for six years. During this time I have assisted with Sunday school and have served on the Search Committee. I am currently a stay at home parent; however I have spent my career in the field of Human Resources. My last position was with the state of New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services. I live in Chichester with my spouse Dawn and our two children Leah, 6 and Jace, 3.
br>I look forward to working with our new rector, helping to make St. Paul's a vibrant, exciting and welcoming place of worship for everyone.

Doreen LeClair
Arthur and I have been active members of St. Paul’s Church for fifteen plus years. My initial involvement started with our kids, where I assisted with Sunday school through the years, eventually ending up as a Senior SPY assistant. I have attended adult education offerings as time has permitted, the most recent being bible study with Celeste and Darrell. Because I love music, I joined and have been an active member of the choir. With Nancy Wood’s encouragement, I joined and help with an organization called Concord Female Charitable Society. It is represented by the churches throughout Concord. I have also been a member of the Board. One of my favorite projects is the food pantry, which we have been a part of for years. It was a simple and a tangible way for our kids, when they were little, to be involved with the church, and to understand a small part of “why do we go to church?” I have also served on the vestry, filling an open position for approximately a year.

Arthur and I are currently semi-retired, working part-time. St. Paul’s is our second family; we love how it represents friendship, community, commitment and involvement.

James W. Milliken
I am a life-long member of St. Paul's Church. As a youth, I was an acolyte, member of St. Paul's Church youth group, and a member of Boy Scout Troop 88. One of the experiences I bring to the Church is an Institutional Memory. I have served on many committees, been Treasurer of the Parish, Senior Warden of the Vestry, delegate to the Diocesan Convention, and am presently serving as a Lay Eucharistic Minister.

I am a Financial Advisor at Modern Woodman of America Fraternal Financial, serving members in NH and Massachusetts.  I also serve on several community boards and I am Chairman of the Concord Historical Society. My wife Susan and I have raised 3 sons at St. Paul's Church and live in Concord.

Robert C. Washburn
I am a cradle Episcopalian and have been a member of St. Paul’s for 35 year. December is my ushering month for the eight o'clock service and I am always there with a smile and a hello. I was a member of the vestry years back and am currently completing a one year term. While on the vestry I have been the liaison to the buildings and grounds committee. The calling of a new rector has been both a challenging and rewarding discernment. St. Paul's is confronted with a fiscal challenge of expanding our revenue base to meet our expenditure responsibilities. As a CPA and Registered Investment Advisor I look forward to using my financial talents to solve this problem.

The vestry has undergone an important change in that differing views are welcome and the parish is kept current of vestry decisions through greater transparency. We are entering a new era for St. Paul's and I want to continue to serve on the vestry to maintain the current missions of the church and, where possible, expand upon them.
